Ingredients:
1 Kg of Chicken
100g Garlic
100g Onion
1 lemon grass
1 cinnamon
3 star anise
1 birdie chilie
1 galanga (lengkuas)
cooking oil
300g tomato
1 chili
1 spoon tomato sauce
2 spoon tomato puree
3 spoon honey (replace sugar)
a bit of starch (optional)
a bit of tamarind juice
water/chicken stock
Steps:
- heat up the oil for saute the cinnamon and star anise first.
- when the aroma is up,put the onion ,dotted lemon grass,birdie chili and galanga(u can blend this all together) then lastly put garlic to saute ,as garlic is easily burn.
- then ,put all the sauces ,honey,juice and a bit of water(can use chicken stock).
- add salt and pepper
- add up the cleaned chicken
- stir it for a while and close it
- after it cooked add up starch and diced tomato .
- wait 10 second
- and walla
p/s:never knew lengkuas is galanga!!
