Cons today

hi peeps,

having a good day?
well I just want to share my story regarding my conservative class this morning.
basically today we need to do "Class 2" amalgam restoration on primary teeth. So we need to do cavity preparation like above picture.

Before that let's do some Dental class
for amalgam restoration in primary. the ideal depth of cavity is 1.5mm,if not the pulp which have nerve supply will be exposed and makes patient feel sensitive/pain.
if the pulp is exposed we need to put "liner" to protect the pulp.so that the pulp is not been traumatize.
"liner"

what is pulp horn?
pulp horn is an elongation of the pulp of the tooth that extends toward the cusp.
so , easy to say Pulp horn is actually the tips of the pulp/the highest point of pulp nearing the occlusal surface.:D

-------------------------------------------

okay,back to my story telling.
please take note that for this cons class,u are given 2 hour to finish two "class 2" amalgam restoration.Means,U have limited Time to be used wisely, and trust me it was hectic!
So I already done with my cavity preparation ,so I asked Dr to check.

me:Dr, please check for my cavity prep on 85
Dr:*sit, take mirror and probe, and she start examine my work
me:***bismillah,bismillah,oklah,oklah!!!(in my mind)
becoz I knew I do slightly deep which is 1.8mm deep at central part.hope she did not realize it!*
Dr:Afif, the occlusal surface at the center is quite deep, what do you think you need to do?
me:*being protective I said* i do not think we need to do anything Dr,just do normal amalgam filling beeeecaussseeeee the part that slightly deep is far away from the "pulp horn."

(I add "because"!!!!!! and add my reasons just to avoid lining!! #lazyDrtobe)

Dr:how many pulp horn do this teeth have?
me:eeerrrrrmmmmmm,2......(**thank you afif for the PULP HORN question*!!! I hentam at first coz I don't know)
Dr:For this tooth~~molar!!~~
me:*remembered that 85 have 3 roots so I said* owh 3 Dr!
Dr:where are they located?
me:here, here, here /sini.sini.sini *with my index finger pointing*
Dr:where is here?
me:owh distobuccal,mesiobuccal and palatal #nervous
Dr:okay,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,a looooonnnnng halt,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,put lining~~then show it to me back. !
me:%^))(*%#@!!~~@#$%%

****!!!!!!! PUT LINING !!! huarhg!!!!!! #pullhair #scream #faint
my aims to save time and put aside lining failed~~~huarghhhh

moral of the story:If Dr ask u a question,be humble yet smart is the best policy!!!

Rubber Dam

What is rubber dam?
thin squares of latex rubber. Silicone versions are available for those with latex allergies.

Functions?
The main function is to isolate the tooth being treated from its environment, in particular from the bacteria in the oral cavity

Tips on applying RB:
  1. pin the hole according to your tooth size.for me I prefer to be using smaller size hole so that the rubber dam can easily held in CEJ(cemento enamel junction)
  2. put wax around the hole:for easy insertion of tooth and prevention of tearing apart the RB
  3. distance between each hole must be minimum as possible to ensure a fitting and doesn't hurt the pt gums. However, the isolation should be adequate(means no hole etc)
  4. OH,before u punch the RB make sure the RB puncher cleaned and make sure the hole is empty.
Take care..BUB BYE!!

"Love is nothing ,without HIS love"

The easy way to do CPR-save life guys!!

HelloReaders!

pictures above are the scheme that our Dr use to examine us in exam,I curi2 snap pic !hoho tererkan?
if you see someone faint in front of you, please don't panic!most probably the fainted person(A) are having heart attack(90% true!)
so the best way to handle it is CPR .(Cardiopulmonary resuscitation)

CPRstepbystep!
  1. asses for danger, make sure you are not in the middle of the road doing CPR!!!!or inside a crocodile farm!!!!
  2. tap A shoulder and ask for his response like "sir, have you married???(kidding!!)"
  3. ask someone to call ambulance and ask them to bring AED(automated external defibrillator).erm like the one dalam ER tu yang ada karen2.
  4. Lift the chin UP and rescue breath (cium mulut ke mulut) 2 times.each of our exhalation contain 60% of oxygen.*wink*,make sure the chest are lifted when you blow (rescue breath)
  5. Check for pulse lateral to the thoracic cartilage
  6. Put your hand in A chest ,in the middle between A nipple and his sternum.Make sure your elbow is straight k.if not you will tired easily.
  7. Press for 30 times without gap in the middle.
  8. Then give 2 rescue breath after each 30 compression
  9. after 5 cycle of 30 press:2 rescue breath,check again for pulse
  10. if got pulse(yay alive!!)if no ,continue the procedure until 30 minutes or until you are tired

if there is pulse but no breathing continue giving A rescue breath every 5 second once
oh that's me.

Abdomen anatomy-dissection

Okay student, today we'll study the anatomy of abdomen. Please wear your glove and mask.

From my observation , the cadaver is male.
Frankly speaking, I hate memorizing all the nerves that are so complex.Notwithstanding, the muscles and all the distinctive feature of each parts of human body.( huaa.....nasib belum beruban...)
Eventually I fell in love with it after I know the functions and after I realized I will treat a real human being later on!!!.I must memorize!!!(that's the spirit....kekeke)

This video was taken during our anatomy briefing .
ENJOY!!!(idk if it's the right THING to say..haha)

actually the cadaver is already dissected , and already covered by formalin (kind of material to make cadaver last longer-preservation)
